Years ago I used to board surf, then I started paddling rivers about 3 years
ago and I just started heading to the beach in my river boat
and surfing instead of running rivers. |
| Surfing competitively since: |
Early 2006 |
| Competition strategy: |
Scare the other competitors with mindless babbling about squirrels and the
like. |
| Surfing ambitions: |
To finish Top 3 in the NI league. |
| Main surf breaks: |
I’m mostly to be found hiding in Inishowen or North Donegal. |
| Favourite surf break: |
I think it has to be Magheraroarty. |

It’s usually just me and some board riding mates at my local breaks,
enjoy surfing with the rest of the squad when I get a chance
though. |
| Favourite moves: |
Enjoying trying to come off the lip at the minute. |
| Tips for beginners: |
Come along to one of the club events, it’s a good way

it can save a load of aggro. |

I think Laird Hamilton is amazing, a real athlete who keeps pushing the limits. |

Music is a big one, I also enjoy Hillwalking and Climbing. |
| You never knew this but... |
I had to whistle in my GCSE music exam because I couldn’t play any instruments
(not even the recorder). I didn’t pass that one. |
