A successful Day One of the Homes, with team talk followed by 110% effort from the entire NI Team producing an overall lead of one point by the end of the day. A mixed bundle of weather again with moments for shorts and suncream followed by shivering by the end of the comp. The competition backdrop had changed dramatically overnight with the empty tanker, which had been held in place by a tug, coming free to land on the beach. Surf was small and increasing during the day with increasing off-shore winds. Today saw the completion of round one of the World Cup with round two to be held tomorrow.
